Hi Members,

We're holding a Book Sale for the Logan Branch of U3A

Tutors, will you please inform your students about this event and urge them to spread the word amongst their neighbours and friends to come along and get some real bargains on books, CDs magazines and audio books. All funds raised will go to U3A Logan District.

Also, can you urge everyone to start collecting plastic bags as we'll need lots of them on the day. We also need volunteers to assist us selling the books which are all being donated by the Logan Libraries.

For further information, please contact Bill Bohlen Ph 3208 3729 or

U3A Art Group Workshop

Local professional artist, Mark Davey, gave the U3A Creative Art Group at Logan City Art Gallery a very enjoyable workshop last week.  His energetic use of paint was a revelation and led students to  create exciting results, for example this painting by Irenke Alexander.  On Thursday 20th February Diane Deschong, another local artist, will give another inspiring workshop on Collage, this time including objects from nature.
