B12 Walking For Fitness

U3A is now on a term break. But you may consider joining our Walking Group on a Thursday Morning at 6.30 AM in the carpark of the Daisy Hill State Forest. The group keeps up with their weekly 2 hour walk right through the break.

C44 Photoshop Elements Beginners Class

If you like taking pictures but are not very happy with the outcome, we have just the right class for you.  Tutor Jean Townsend runs a Beginners Class in Photoshop Elements at the Logan North Library.

Jean teaches you how to turn ordinary pix into stunning photographs. But that's not all. Photoshop Elements lets you be creative and artistic with your pictures.

X43 Travel Group

One of our bigger groups is the Travel Group, going from strength to strength. The group meets on the first and third Mondays of the month, at 11.00 AM at the Logan North Library, Sports Drive, Springwood. People talk about trips they've done, give travel tips and show wonderful pictures of all regions of the world. Sitting there watching, it's like being an armchair traveller. Here are some of the places members of the group have talked about.

Michael visited the largest desert in the world, in China

Sand as far as the eye can see
 John was on a trip to the Cook Islands for a relaxing holiday. John, an excellent photographer showed us some amazing pictures from his trip.

What a great beach

A boat ride out to an island
 Diane and Bill went on a river cruise on the Mississippi River from Memphis to New Orleans.
They travelled on the American Queen
Where they experienced fabulous sunsets
Desley went with Globus Tours on a trip to USA National Parks.

She captured seals
And visited Bryce Canyon in Utah
